Day 1

FONTILLES – ORBA – PRESA ISBERT | Route that combines history and nature. The first meters of ascent will be made by path. After the first 300 meters we will reach a paved track that will easily take us to the Fontilles Sanatorium. Its history and its beauty are intertwined in this unique place. After strolling through its buildings and pine forests, we will head towards Orba along a path that descends quietly to the town. From there and to the Isbert Dam we will walk on asphalt and dirt tracks without any difficulty or unevenness. Through orange trees we will arrive at the Isbert dam, a spectacular construction hidden inside a small canyon, created to control the waters of the Girona River but which was never used.

Day 2

BARRANC DE L’INFERN | In the evocative Vall de Laguar, we find the Barranc de l’Infern, a spectacular and narrow canyon that the waters of the Riu Girona have been sculpting over thousands of years. This tortuous gorge is the protagonist of one of the most unique and popular hiking trails in the area. The fame of the excursion is deserved.

We are facing a circular route of considerable physical demand that, through fascinating landscapes, will take us to discover an outstanding cultural heritage, nestled in a natural setting of great ecological value. This is one of the best examples of the invaluable heritage of dry stone. with more than 6,800 stone steps this route is known by the nickname of The Cathedral of Hiking. A legacy that must be preserved.

Day 3

CAVALL VERD – BENIMAURELL | A demanding route that will take us through a 500-meter climb along paths and tracks to contemplate the wonderful Cavall Verd (green horse), a mountain range that separates the Laguar and Polop valleys. We will continue contemplating the wonderful views as we crest along 3km. We will find ourselves on a rocky and somewhat technical path in some sections, and after which we will descend along it to the town of Benimaurell. From here to the end of the route it will be a pleasant walk along a paved track between cherry, almond, orange and stream trees.
